What’s the point.. It’s not like you listen… Information Superhighway my arse….sigh. NO ONE knows who wrote House of the Rising Sun. No, it wasn’t the animals nor bob dylan. It’s much much much older than that. The Animals version is often considered definitive and I myself consider it to be the best. Pink Floyd did not cover it. Frijid Pink did. The song is an old folk tune rejigged many times in it’s probably several hundred year life. this song was available on a compilation album called “1 Love” which was released by an organization called War Child.
